Sports Lockers and Classroom Sign

This part of the lesson was used to go around and take pictures of the school. This is of the sports lockers at an angle, I thought that this represented a photo of pattern because the squares on the side of the locker goes on and on up the wall. The other photo on the left is a sign that was given to us by the ETH the university of Zurich when our school visited. I think this is uniqe about our school because I have never seen a sign like that in another school before.

Photography using the Macro setting

Continuing the Lesson on Photography, we had to take more pictures using the macro setting. The macro setting is a setting on the camara so that when set and you take a picture of an object that is about 2cm from the camara then it will stay in focus. It was more easy to do than normal photography but was harder to always get it in focus. In this picture you can see that I focused on the pine cone and the backround is blurred, when taking this image I was about one and a half cm away from the object so that shows how close you can get.

Pattern image

This photo show a great pattern of pieces of fabric. The image shows a coloured rectangle and then a blank square which goes on forever. Th artist must have turned his camara up because the pattern goes up and up.

Texture photo

2march2010, originally uploaded by Rowdy Rebel1.

In this photo you can see and almost feel how the sheeps fur feels like. Or its horns which have bumps on them. The artist must have gotten down lower to capture this image.

Lines photo

Staring at Lines, originally uploaded by Karon.

This image is a great example of lines. The photo is really just a bunch of lines but when looked at first it looks 3D and like a box. this can be confusing. The artist must have wanted that man in the picture aswell.

Depth of field photo

, originally uploaded by iignee.

This photo shows depth of field well. the main image, the man, is staring into the distance and as he does so the backround goes smaller and smaller. The artist must have only focused on the man seeing as thebackround is blurred.

Rule of thirds photo

60.365, originally uploaded by simplypluvia.

This image is an example of the rule of thirds. As you can see the main object, the shoe, has been captured to the side instede of right in the middle. The photographer must have been in a special angle from his/her camara to capture this image.

Symetrical Photo

The Flaming Martini, originally uploaded by andrew_v.

This photo is a good example of symetry, because the flaming martini is exactly the same upside down as it is standing up. The artist must have used a bit of photo shop to do this seeing as to get that image is quite impossible.

Getting Started With Photography At The Middle School

This task was to go around the outside of the school taking a ton of photos. When I found my subject, for example the picture of the red stalks I had to push the shooting button half way down so it would be in focus for this image. I found this sometimes dificult because I forgot to push it halfway. I am going to try and get better at focusing on the image, but I think I did well at finding good subjects to take the photo of. I think I was able to get close to my subject and finding subject easy but in some places it was not.
